Eligibility Criteria for Chevening Scholarship

  • Language that is required: English

  • If you are currently employed by Her Majesty’s Government, a former employee of Her Majesty’s Government, or a relative of an employee of Her Majesty’s Government, or if you have been employed by Her Majesty’s Government within the past two years since the opening of Chevening applications (including British embassies and high commissions; the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy; the Department for International Trade; the Ministry of Defence; and the Home Office), or if you are a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, you are eligible for this fellowship.
  • You are eligible to apply if you are an employee, a former employee, or a relative of an employee of a Chevening Partner organization; however, if the employment took place within the past two years, you are not eligible to receive a Chevening Partner Award from the organization from which you currently work, have worked in the past, or are affiliated with through relatives.
  • Have previously attended school in the United Kingdom with financial support from a scholarship provided by the United Kingdom Government.
