Benefits
- Tuition-free education: one in which the student is not required to pay any tuition fees.
- The non-degree, bachelor’s, Master’s, and one-tier Master’s level students are eligible for a monthly stipend of HUF 43,700, which is approximately equivalent to EUR 119. HUF 140,000 (about EUR 381) for the first phase of education (four semesters) and HUF 180,000 (approximately EUR 489) for the second phase of education (four semesters) is the amount that is offered to students who are pursuing a PhD degree. As long as the student is enrolled in school, they will get stipends for one year.
- The accommodation contribution consists of either a free seat in a dormitory or a payment of HUF 40,000 per month toward the costs of housing for the entirety of the scholarship period. Eligibility

- Holds a recommendation from a Hungarian diaspora organization or a Hungarian diplomatic representation (including Honorary Consuls) of the respective country (=Diaspora Recommendation Letter), has made a statement that they have lived outside of Hungary for a minimum of ten years prior to the submission of their application, and has a letter of recommendation from any of these organizations or diplomatic representatives.
- A student who has finished their final four years of secondary school in a nation other than Hungary. The applicant’s most recent period of elementary education will also be taken into consideration if the applicant’s country has a secondary education system that lasts for fewer than four years.
- Was born before 31 August 2006 (with the exception of those who are applying for Dance study programs), agrees to sign a scholarship agreement and to learn Hungarian as a foreign language and culture throughout the entirety of their study year.
- The candidate is required to attend a Hungarian as a foreign language and culture course throughout the entirety of the scholarship agreement. This is the case in the event that the study program is offered in a language that is not Hungarian.
- At the conclusion of the scholarship program, the applicant is obligated to demonstrate that they have achieved a level of proficiency in Hungarian as a foreign language that is at least equivalent to an intermediate level (B2 level). This must be accomplished no later than one year after the completion of the degree program (or certificate program in the case of postgraduate specialist training courses).
